Sunday PREP - February 21, 2016

Posted by Tanner Turley on

Sunday P.R.E.P. is a weekly tool designed to enhance our Sunday gatherings at Redemption Hill. As we individually pray, reflect, expect and pursue, God will prepare us for his great work in our worship together.

PRAY:
As you read through John 8:12-30, pray that you will not be one “who walks in darkness”. Pray that the Spirit of the Living God will shed light on the condition of your heart and the obedience of your walk.

REFLECT:
In rebuttal to the Pharisee’s accusations, Jesus says that “I knows where I came from, and where I am going”. As we are just beginning this season of Lent, reflect on this trajectory and anticipate the cross to come at Calvary.

EXPECT:
As one who follows Jesus, the Light, that He will be present in all of our circumstances. The prophet Isaiah records God’s promise as such: “I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations… [Isaiah 42:6]

PURSUE:
As we approach corporate worship this Sunday, let us come together with a spirit of thanksgiving and rejoicing as we seek to reflect His light to Greater Medford and the world.
